Now retired, Henry served as Band Director of the Wellesley Middle School from 1988-2016, as well as High School Band Director from 1990-97. He was Band Director at the Whitman-Hanson Regional HS from 1984-88 and was an Adjunct Music Professor at the Boston Conservatory from 1991-2002. Prior to teaching Henry earned a degree in ethnomusicology from Tufts and degrees in Jazz guitar and music education from Berklee College of Music. 

 

Henry’s popularity as a teacher has brought current and former students into the fold, making the WTB truly intergenerational. Moreover, his deep knowledge of the repertoire broadens the musical horizons of all who play in the band and is critical in the development of a varied and exciting concert series.
